❝AGAIN❞

Tried to take a picture
Of love
Didn't think I'd miss her
That much
I want to fill this new frame
But its empty

Tried to write a letter
In ink
Its been getting better
I think
I got a piece of paper
But its empty
Its empty

Maybe we're trying
Trying too hard
Maybe we're torn apart
Maybe the timing
Is beating our hearts
We're empty

And I've even wondered
If we
Should be getting under
These sheets
We could lie in this bed
But its empty
Its empty

Maybe we're trying
Trying too hard
Maybe we're torn apart
Maybe the timing
Is beating our hearts
We're empty

Oh oh
Oh oh
Oooooh
Oh oh
Oh oh

Maybe we're trying
Trying too hard
Maybe we're torn apart
Maybe the timing
Is beating our hearts
We're empty

We're empty
We're empty

Gen's leaving Crescent, Sec2Guides. For good. And I'm happy for her, I really am. Only I'm going to miss her so much, with her hand gestures and phone with its 8MP camera. And I don't want her to go because I can't imagine school without her. Somehow she's always there, either in the background, or somewhere in the spotlight. When I fell down, she was there, because she'd fallen down too. She's the only one I know who falls as often as I do. Then, when I didn't know my flagraising well, she was there, in the morning, to help sing the anthem and everything. And she's the best level rep ever. She takes the responsibility for everything, no matter what. If it's her fault, she takes the rap. If she had nothing to do with it, she still takes the rap anyway.
I'm going to miss her sock puppet and her insane fear of Pepper. I'm going to miss her laughter and crazy showcasing of her bottle. I'm going to miss her so so much and I really can't imagine footdrills without her.
I'm not going to be able to think of MacDonald's or StarBucks the same way again. I'll never think of Civil Defence the same way again. I'm going to miss her so much, and the first thing I'll do when I see her again will be to give her a great big hug.
I love you, Genevieve Ruth Especkerman. I happen to be able to spell your name too. And I'll miss you so much.
